Uninsured Loss Recovery
What are uninsured losses?
Uninsured losses are any items which are not covered by your
insurance or loss and damage protection cover. For example your excess, hire charges,
taxi/bus fares, loss of wages or injuries.
You are obliged to try and keep all losses and expenses resulting
from the accident to a minimum. We would advise that you retain
any documentary evidence to support your uninsured losses eg taxi
receipts

No injury involved?
In cases where you have had an accident and no injury is involved,
Royal & SunAlliance Motability will attempt to recover any
uninsured losses provided that it has been possible to identify
the person who caused the accident, and their Insurance Company
accepts liability.

Recovery of Uninsured Losses
Recovery of Uninsured Losses may take some time, and on occasions,
delays can occur. Below are some examples of when delays may happen:
The
person who caused the accident does not respond to our letter
or telephone calls
The
person who caused the accident is not insured or refuses to tell
us who their insurers are
The
other insurance company fails to respond to our letters or telephone
calls, or does not accept that their Insured was at fault
Witnesses
to the accident have not provided a statement.
Uninsured Loss Recovery can sometimes be a lengthy process and
