Changing Text Size
The 'increase/decrease text size' buttons, on the right hand
side of pages in this site, are designed to increase or decrease
the size of text which appears on a page. Each click will increase
or descrease the size of the text further. This feature will not
work with all computer and browers types and versions so, if these
buttons do not affect the text size the instructions below should
help you.
Internet Explorer
Access the 'View' menu in your browser and select 'Text Size',
a sub menu will appear which indicates your current text size
preference.
NOTE: It may be necessary to disable text size presets also to
allow this to work. To do this simply access the 'Tools' Menu
in your browser. Choose 'Internet Options'. Make sure the 'General'
Tab is selected and click the button marked 'Accessibility'. In
the Acessibility Dialogue box, ensure 'Ingore font sizes specified
on Web Pages' is CHECKED.
Netscape
Access the 'Edit' menu, and choose 'Preferences'. In the left
hand menu within the 'Preferences' dialogue box choose 'Advanced'
and DISABLE the check box alongside 'Enable Style Sheets'.
Once this is done use the 'View' Menu and choose either 'Increase
Font' or 'Decrease Font'. You can continually select either of
these to make the text change to any size you desire.
NOTE: It is also possible to specify a Font and Text size for
any website you visit by Accessing the 'Edit' menu, choosing 'Preferences',
clicking on 'Fonts' in the left hand menu. The options for fonts
and sizes is in this dialogue box.
